Christine Johnson

British Triathlon level 2 Coach, Personal Trainer and ASA Swim Teacher and Coach

Christine is a former national swimmer and Irish Elite Triathlon Champion 2004 and raced for Ireland at World and European Elite level in 2003 & 2004. She was also World Age Group Aquathlon Champion 2005 and 2006.

Since retiring from Elite racing, Christine has concentrated on coaching triathletes & swimmers. She was Head Swim Coach at Ashford Tri Club for 4 years. Christine has been coaching swimming for over 20 years and been running SleekerSwim since 2005.

2016 saw Christine re ignite her old passion for Competitive pool Swimming and started back “proper swim training in July 2016”. Competing in the National Masters Age Group Championships, she achieved two silver medals in the 400m Freestyle and 100m Butterfly in 2016, adding to this with a silver and bronze in the National Long course Masters Championships in 2017.  Competing in her first World Masters Swimming Championships in August 2017 in Budapest, Christine achieved an 8th place in her age group for the 200m freestyle.


Sophie Casson

Sophie is an ex International professional swimmer competing for GB in open water all over the world in open water swim events. Sophie is still a top swimmer and in 2015, she has won the Coniston One way swim outright and the Coniston Epic 3.8km in 46 mins. She is also a very accomplished pool swimmer currently the World Record holder for the Masters 25 – 29 age group 400m freestyle and the 30 -34 year age group for the 200m, 400m & 1500m Freestyle events. Sophie is also a multi Master World Champion, achieving four gold medals and one silver at the Masters World Championships in Budapest in 2017.

Sophie can offer her expertise both on our open water and pool technique courses.
